Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on the 20th of July, 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. She is a reporter covering everything starting with NASA and the Space Force and commercial space companies to the advent of Space Tourism. Being the daughter of two NASA astronauts, Kristin grew up in the field of space and has was a part of the space industry for five years, reporting on the Biden and Trump Administration's space policies as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. While there, she also covered two impeachment proceedings for President Trump as well as the 2020 presidential campaign, and two administration's efforts to contain the pandemic of coronavirus. She also traveled extensively with the President and Vice President, including a top secret visit to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Using her skills in front of the camera Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company focused on making documentary-style movies for corporate clients, such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
